There is an article on SLAM! Wrestling in which Rene Dupree speaks out for the first time since his release from WWE. He said that he looks forward to wrestling in Japan on August 12 for the Hustle promotion. He said that it’s a lifelong desire of his to work in Japan. He also noted that a return to North America is not a priority for him right now.
Regarding his release, Dupree said that he actually asked for it. “I was at the point I wanted to do something else … I have nothing negative to say about them at all.” He also added, “You come to a point in life where you need a change.”
Dupree preferred not to comment on his numerous suspensions in WWE except to say that it had nothing to do with his choice to leave the company.
