More On Nowinski/WWE, The Fired Bucci's Replacement, More
Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE has replaced Mike "Simon Dean" Bucci with Ty Bailey in the talent relations division heading up the developmental program. Bailey is the son of Joe Bailey, the CEO of the NFL's Miami Dolphins. Bailey was brought to the company originally as the Operations Coordinator for the failed XFL. Bucci was fired on 8/31 after his name was linked to the Signature Pharmacy investigation.
Yesterday Jessica Hatch was on the Shredd and Ragan show on 103.3 The Edge in Buffalo. Jessica talked about the elimination process and how they narrowed it down to the top 8 on WWE.com. The host asked if she would be getting in the ring. She was asked about if she had a character in mind. She said that she's keeping things to herself. She said that her personality might make her a babyface. The host mentioned her bio on her website (She is a Christian) and asked if that would keep her from wanting to be a heel. She's gung-ho and is willing to be a face or a heel. The host asked if Christ would be ok with her dressed as a whore and wearing a thong. She said that the divas dont wear thongs in the ring. She said that it's all about how you carry yourself and your composure. They asked if she'd be on TV and she mentioned that WWE is airing clips and then she plugged Raw on USA and WWE.com. The host asked if she's "juicing" to bulk up. She said no and that she eats right and works out and mentioned that she's on a softball and flag football team. She considers WWE a step up from what she's done in the past. She says that she'd much rather be in the ring in front of thousands of people. The host then said that she should know that there's alot of physical pain involved. The host then asked if she had thought of porn. She said porn is definitely not an option. The hosts think that she's not WWE material. They believe she can do better and they think WWE would eat her alive. They said that she should be doing Hawaiian Tropic. She says she's above that and the hosts said that they are going to pull for her to win. Note from Ryan Clark Jessica is doing TONS of media as of late and is even flying herself in to do SIRIUS radio shows (Playboy & Maxim). She's really the only Diva search contestant promoting herself which is a good thing for her.
Chris Nowinski is still under contract to WWE, but due to Nowinski speaking out about brain injuries, he isn't expected to do anymore public engagements and is likely finished with the company. We're following this closely.
