Tons Of News: WSX, Benoit, Leno, SD!, Batista, Victoria, More
Randall Gordon sent this in regarding WSX airing in Mexico on MTV Mexico: In Panama too they are airing the 4th episode when Ricky Banderas make his debut. That show is airing Sunday at 8:00 PM. That show is airing in all Latin America not only in Mexico. Eric also sent this in: WSX has been airing in Quebec as well, on a channel called Musiquepluse (french version of MTV ), what sucks is that its overdubbed in french and not subtitled like usual, makes for some frustrating watching.
Scott Simpson sent this in: I was at the London Knights vs Sarnia Sting game for an exbition game for Ontario hockey league and in the 1st intermission at the John Labatt Centre, they played Chris Benoit's music.
David Long sent this in: I just read in my latest Sky Sports Magazine that Sky wll be offering a 3 for 2 offer on Box Office. If you order a season ticket for No Mercy, Survivor Series and Armageddon you will receive these events for the bargain price of ?43.90. Normally the events on Sky Box Office are ?21.95 each so its good value. The question is will these events be worth ordering.
Johnathan Torres sent this in: I was watching the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night and Jay made a joke about the 10 wrestlers who were suspended by WWE. I don't really remember the joke but the funny thing to me was that Jay called the WWE the "World Wrestling Federation"? hmm. Another example of the deep research the media does with the business.
Note from Ryan Clark: Bill Maher also brought up the story in the beginning of his "Real Time with Bill Maher" show last night on HBO and also referred to the company as the World Wrestling Federation. He seemed confused on the name and joked he was a "big fan" after rolling his eyes.
Jedd sent this in: I heard a commercial on FM 104.7 WIOT out of Toledo advertising the Smackdown stars coming to Toledo... it said Batista was the champion and not Kahli but they would be fighting each other. It wasn't a DJ or something it was a taped commercial.
Devin Cutting passed this statement along by WWE's Victoria: From myspace.com/victoria_lisamarievaron: First let me apologize to everyone who expected to see me at the New York State Fair. I was scheduled to appear, and I did not make it to the Fair. I made it to my flight (on Continental Airlines). As we were taxiing toward the runway, the plane stopped, and the pilot came on and said that we were having mechanical problems, which they were going to attempt to fix. We sat for about 15 minutes, and then started going back to the terminal. The pilot came back on and told us that they were going to have to fly in a part, and that the flight was being significantly delayed. WWE has a department that handles all of our travel. I called them immediately, but they were unable to get me to the New York State Fair in time to make any part of my appearance. It was definitely out of my control, but I feel bad for any wrestling fans who made the trip specifically to see me.
