Jericho At 'No Mercy' This Weekend?, Liddell's Next Fight And More

With John Cena's injury, it seems like it would be a great time to debut Chris Jericho. However, from comments I have heard, it seems unlikely that Jericho will debut at No Mercy this Sunday and may not debut for awhile as WWE wants to build his return up. Jim Ross in his latest blog wrote about the Save Us 222 promo, saying that "Interesting days lie ahead because it wouldn't be making air if something significant wasn't planned, right?". Of course Cena's injury has changed everything so we will just have to wait and see.

We will be providing live coverage of WWE No Mercy this Sunday so be sure to be here to find out if Jericho does debut, and who the new WWE Champion will be. Also, you can receive an email update right sent directly to you right after the event. Our email updates are sent out only when a major story (that would appear in the Top Stories section of the site) breaks or after a PPV. For instance, members signed up for our email updates were the first to find out when John Cena was stripped of the WWE Championship this past week. Your email is kept confidential and is never given out to anyone. To sign up for our email updates, click here.

MMAFightLine.com is reporting that Chuck Liddell went back to training full time again on Monday. There was some speculation last week, fueled by comments made by Liddell's trainer John Hackleman, that Liddell would fight Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. That fight appears unlikely now however, due to Rua's upcoming knee surgury. However, a fight with Wanderlei Silva now seems likely.
