Judgment Day 2008, Lawler, Rock News & Notes, & More

Anthony Giacovelli sent the following....During Raw last night, a local advertisement aired stating that the 2008 Judgment Day PPV will emanate from Omaha , NE on May 18. Tickets will be on sale this Saturday. They also announced this live in the arena to the Omaha crowd at RAW last night. I'll never forget the night I (Ryan Clark) waited in the Greyhound bus station in Omaha for 14 hours straight one night and didn't get out of the city until 5A.M. Ugh!!!

Jerry "The King" Lawler and Jim Neidhart will both make appearances at the Northeast Wrestling show this Saturday in Milford, PA.

WWE has released a signed WrestleMania 23 commemorative plaque featuring the Undertaker.

The Rock is holding on strong in the box office charts as his movie 'The Game Plan' was number four this week after being released 24 days ago in 3,301 theaters. It received another $8.12 million for the weekend sending its total box office revenue to $69,150,000. The movie recently opened in Mexico and received a total of $1,915,281. It will open in Australia and Taiwan next month while other countries will follow in early 2008. (Thanks to Colin Vassallo)

Speaking of The Rock, he will not be part of the scheduled Spy Hunter movie that has been in development for quite some time. According to G4, producer Jeremy Bolt confirmed that Johnson was no longer attached to the project. The Rock took part in the Spy Hunter video game release for Midway Games last year with his image being used on promotional materials to promote the film's future release.
