Raw Rating Drops Again, TUF 7 And More

Dave Scherer is reporting that Raw this past Monday night did a 3.2 cable rating, down from last week's 3.3 and the 3.9 it did on the episode where Vince McMahon's illegitimate son was revealed to be Hornswoggle. The show did hours of 3.10 and 3.26.

It certainly appears to be panic time for WWE, as ratings are dropping to the numbers of the dark days (before the Monday night wars became really heated in 1998) and their top star in John Cena is out for 6-8 months.

While every year the ratings for Raw drop during football season, this years drop is far more drastic than prior years. It's becoming evident that young adults are put off with the WWE storylines and are not coming back. WWE really needs to start shaking things up, and not in the Hornswoggle is Vince McMahon's son kind of way.

Meanwhile, our sister site MMAFightLine.com has news about the upcoming season of UFC's The Ultimate Fighter 7 is reporting that UFC matchmaker Joe Silva made an appearance at the Combat Sports Challenge in Richmond, VA this past weekend where he announced to the crowd that the next season of The Ultimate Fighter will focus exclusively on the middleweight class. No further details are available at this time. However, if ultimately true, this would be a boon to a comparatively weak division. Stay tuned.
