Rey Mysterio vs. Fit Finlay is up first. Finlay entered the ring first, followed by Mysterio. Todd Grisham was then shown on stage going through the different stipulations that the fans could have voted for. The fans have voted for a stretcher match.
Despite not being the stip, Mysterio at one point grabbed the shillelagh on the pole which Finlay then proceeded to use. Good action with the stretcher being used as a weapon throughout the match. Mysterio hit Finlay with a modified 619 on the outside of the ring and hit a plash. While Mysterio was dragging Finlay on the stretcher, the stretcher got caught on a tv cable and they had to modify the ending a little. Mysterio used the shillelagh on Finlay and wheeled Finlay past the white line to win the match.
Matt Hardy is shown with his face smashed up from his injury on Smackdown! in the back and MVP joins him. Hardy will not be facing MVP tonight because of the injury. Hardy said that he heard MVP was still going to be defending the U.S. title and it could be against Mark Henry, The Great Khali or Kane. So you can vote now on who should face MVP tonight between Henry, Khali or Kane.
They did backstage segments with the divas on who the viewers should vote for. Victoria was shown dressed as Yokozuna and Dykstra was Mr. Fuji. Ron Simmons came in and you know the rest.
CM Punk is entering the ring to defend the ECW Championship. The fans have voted for the Miz. Really? Well, I guess it beats Big Daddy V.
Loud chants of "You can't wrestle" directed at the Miz in the match. At another point a loud "Y2J" chant broke out. Punk hit Miz with the GTS to beat Miz and retain the ECW Championship.
A promo aired for this Tuesday's Monster Mast Battle Royal on ECW. Mickie James was shown dressed as an Indian and Torrie was dressed as a Washington Redskin asking for your vote.
A promo package of the WWE Championship match is shown. William Regal announced that Orton will face Shawn Michaels (who got 59% of the vote) and that Jeff Hardy will face Mr. Kennedy next.
Kennedy hit the ring first, followed by Hardy in a bonus match. Jerry Lawler at one point congratulated the audience for voting for Michaels. Hardy missed a mule kick and Kennedy took the opportunity and pinned Hardy.
Michelle McCool was shown dressed as Eve and Melina was shown looking really hot as a Las Vegas showgirl. Melina's an easy victory so far in my book.
Mick Foley was shown in the back and JBL interfered and showed a promo of why he should be named special referee for the World Title Match. Foley then cut a promo on why he should be referee. Foley got a surprisingly mellow pop.
MVP is entering the ring and the WWE U.S. Championship match is up next. Vickie Guerrero was shown and Todd Grisham announced that the fans chose Kane with 67% of the vote. Kane defeated MVP by countout, therefore he doesn't win the championship.
The 'Save_Us_229' promo aired.
A Survivor Series promo aired with Edge and a chainsaw.
Layla was shown dressed as a cop and Kelly Kelly was then shown dressed as a pimp, even though she said she was a gangsta.
The WWE Championship match is up next which means they are probably ending with The Undertaker vs. Batista. Which means this will probably have a cop out finish.
Orton entered the ring followed by Michaels. The two had a great match with Orton spending much of the match working on the back of Michaels. At one point Michaels missed an elbow from the top and Orton went for an RKO, only for Michaels to counter it into a backslide and a close three count.
Later Michaels hit an elbow from the top. With the crowd on fire, Michaels went for Sweet Chin music but Orton ducked and punched Michaels in the nuts to get DQd. There's your cop out finish, too bad because they were having a great match until this point.
Having a cop out finish in two title matches in a row is pretty lame. After the match, Orton went to kick Michaels in the head but as Orton charged, Michaels hit Orton with sweet chin music.
A WrestleMania 24 promo aired. Tickets are on sale this Saturday.
Brooke was shown dressed as a jungle girl complete with snake. Jilian was then shown doing some lame Britney Spears lines.
Jim Ross commented that this was the worst Halloween contest he's ever seen in his life.
Triple H vs. Umaga is up next and a promo is shown hyping the match. The match will be a street fight. Fans booed the decision, wanting a steel cage match.
Triple H came out first followed by Umaga. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler kept pushing how they like that it is a street fight.
They immediately started fighting through the back and went backstage for a minute, only to crash through the set in the back and come back to the front. The two were having a wild brawl going back and forth.
Later in the match, Umaga placed Triple H on the ECW announce table, then got on the Smackdown table and did a running splash onto the Game, putting him through the table. Triple H got back in the ring, Umaga took forever to follow and went to the top rope, only to miss a splash from the top. Triple H then grabbed a sledgehammer. Triple H went to hit Umaga with the sledgehammer, missed, then Umaga tried to hit the Samoan Spike and missed. Triple H capitalized and hit Umaga with the sledgehammer and a pedigree for the win.
A promo for the 500th anniversary issue of WWE Magazine aired.
The results for the WWE Divas Halloween contest saw Mickie James winning.
The Undertaker vs. Batista for the World title is up next. Grisham announced that there were over 13 million votes casted.
Just as Grisham was about to announce the special referee, JBL intervened and got in the ring, saying the fans voted him in. Foley then came to the ring to a tepid response. Of course, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin won the vote with 79% of the vote. JBL then attacked Foley, but Foley retailiated and knocked JBL out of the ring. Austin hit the ring and hit Foley with a stunner. It's obvious that Foley still has a lot of heat due to his last book. JBL then attacked Austin and had the upper hand for awhile, but Austin came back and hit JBL with a stunner.
The Undertaker then made his way to the ring. Jerry Lawler joined Michael Cole at ringside. Batista came in next. Batista tried for a spear early but missed when Undertaker moved out of the way.
The end of the match saw the Undertaker chokeslam Batista, but Batista kicked out. Taker then went for a tombstone, but Batista reversed and hit Taker for a spear, only for Taker to kick out. Batista then went for a Batista bomb, but Taker reversed it into a backdrop. Batista had Taker in the corner, but Taker turned it into a last ride and Batista still kicked out. Bstista then countered a tombstone again and hit a spinebuster for a two count. Batista hit a Batista bomb and Taker kicked out yet again. Batista then hit a second Batista bomb to pin the Undertaker cleanly.
