WWE May Be In Danger- USA Network Deal Expiring

-* The USA Network and WWE have not been on good terms. Bonnie Hammer from the network has been sending between 10-20 creative ideas to WWE quite frequently in hopes that the federation will comply. However, sources have said that Vince McMahon receives them, reads them, then passes them onto daughter Stephanie McMahon. RAW writer, Brian Gewirtz then shows the creative team what the network has proposed but apparently not one suggestion has been considered. The reason behind this is that WWE trusts their own ideas more than outside help.

The notion is that once one is accepted, they will be pressured to accept another one, so on and so forth.

WWE's contract with the USA Network is expiring shortly after WrestleMania 24. At this point it does not look like the network will terminate their deal with WWE as their numbers are good, despite Monday Night's low 2.8 rating. When signed in 2005, Bonnie Hammer expected ratings between 4 and 5. If the low RAW ratings continue it may result in re-sign deal with less money and that could affect WWE in a negative way since TV programming is their major source of revenue aside from PPV and other products.
