Big WWE/Drug Story Today, Carlito/WWE, Vince/Bret, More
USA Today is scheduled to run a major story regarding the drug issue in professional wrestling in the Monday morning issue of the paper. The story is already online and can be read at USAToday.com. The article mentions the recent news of Congress and The House Committee on Energy and Commerce wanting to hold hearings as soon as December on the issue (along with baseball and other sports – although baseball and wrestling appear to be the big two).
As noted yesterday, I am still hearing rumblings that Carlito has given his notice and/or will be finishing up with the company soon.
I thought it was interested that WWE didn't push the 10th anniversary of the Montreal screwjob. Apparently, WWE feels Bret Hart is on their team, since he did the hall of fame ceremony, and they are in talks to help promote Hart's autobiography in the United States. Vince McMahon has also talked with Hart about doing a follow up DVD release.
If you were watching the Y2J promo closely during the Survivor Series, at approximately 10:13, it said 23 hours 32 minutes tomorrow night, which means Jericho should return around 9:45 on Raw tonight.
