Official Smackdown Preview For Tonight

The following comes from WWE.com

Thanks to all of you, the vast masses we know and love as our fans, who voted on the match stipulations, opponents and referees, Cyber Sunday was truly at its interactive finest in Washington, D.C. From the home of democracy, your votes redefined WWE history at the pay-per-view Sunday night. But how will that history play out when the Superstars of Friday Night SmackDown make their way to Uniondale, N.Y., this week?

A stunning 79 percent of you voted for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to officiate "Batista-Undertaker IV" at Cyber Sunday, and no one could be disappointed with the results. Batista finally conquered the greatest of his personal demons, defeating Undertaker for the first time ever to retain his World Heavyweight Title. Just days after that epic encounter, The Animal and The Phenom will step into the ring once more ? this time as tag team partners. The duo will face the team of The Great Khali & Mark Henry on SmackDown, but can Undertaker and Batista co-exist against the dangerous Punjab Giant & World's Strongest Man? Henry is coming off an impressive victory of his own after winning the Monster Mash Battle Royal on ECW on Sci Fi. Will that success carry over to his tag team match on Friday night?

After the actions on Raw, when Jonathan Coachman took on Hornswoggle with Mick Foley as guest referee, WWE.com has learned that Coachman will face Foley in one-on-one action on SmackDown. Will the Hardcore Legend once again embarrass the Coach or will William Regal's assistant have some tricks up his sleeve?

The contest stipulation you most wanted to see Rey Mysterio and Finlay engage in was a Stretcher Match, earning 40 percent of your votes. Nevertheless, the ornery Irishman still made frequent use of the shillelagh, but the Master of the 619 managed to persevere in the grueling encounter. Laying the brawler out on the stretcher and pushing him over the finish line, has Rey finally put their months-long rivalry to rest? Or will the Celtic combatant have some payback waiting in Uniondale for Mysterio?

After sustaining a severe gash on SmackDown last week that required multiple stitches, doctors would not medically clear Matt Hardy to compete against MVP at Cyber Sunday. However, it's debatable who was more unfortunate: Hardy for hard luck, or MVP, who had to defend his U.S. Title against Kane, the Superstar more than 67 percent of you voted for.

By losing in a less than half-man, half-amazing count-out decision, the Franchise Playa managed to hang onto his U.S. bling. But is he still willing to count Matt Hardy as a friend, especially since his co-WWE Tag Team Champion set up the revised contest with Acting GM Vickie Guerrero? The vote's still out on that one, though our fans in Uniondale may find out this Friday night.

For the answers to these questions and more, be sure to tune into Friday Night SmackDown, 8/
