Shawn Michaels' Injury, Smackdown News & More

Shawn Michaels told the Baltimore Sun in a phone interview that ran in today's issue that he did return to WWE early because of the injury to John Cena. Michaels said that his wife noticed Cena's injury on RAW and he received a text message from John the next day, confirming that he had a torn pectoral muscle. Michaels said it wasn't long before WWE called to see how he was feeling. Michaels said that he has had some knee pain since returning but it isn't anything too severe.

In Canada, next week's edition of WWE SmackDown! will be airing on Thursday night instead of the usual Friday night spot. Replays will also be aired at midnight on Thursday and Friday. Next week's show has been rescheduled to Friday, The Score will be covering the Vanier Cup live.
