Another Bobby Heenan Update, Goldberg Turns 41, Flair, & More

David Herro sent this one: I just wanted to let everyone know that I spoke with Cindy Heenan, Bobby's wife and she told me that Bobby has had the two surgeries on his jaw because the first one was not a success. The doctors hope that the second surgery will be successful and that the new bone will heal properly. He is still in a coma and will be brought out slowly this week. Bobby will be in the hospital another two or three weeks. It is going to be a long road to recovery for Bobby so please keep The Brain in your thoughts and prayers. When I know more I will let you all know.

From Roger Lockridge: Happy Birthday to Bill Goldberg, who turns 41 today.

WWE will officially announce the on-sale for tickets for the 2008 Royal Rumble at tonight's Smackdown/ECW house show in East Rutherford, New Jersey. They are expected to go on sale this Saturday 12/29. It is unusual for the company to wait just 1 month before putting tickets on sale for one of their biggest PPV events of the year. The feeling within WWE is that they did not want to distract from WrestleMania ticket sales and they know the Royal Rumble will sell out no matter what, especially in New York City.

WWE.com currently features a tribute to the Nature Boy Ric Flair. The tribute includes pictures and videos covering some of the biggest moments in Flair's career, including his 1st NWA title win over Harley Race, his 6th title win over Ricky Steamboat, his WWF debut, his WWE title win at the 1992 Royal Rumble and more. You can check the Flair tribute at WWE.com.
