Former TNA Star Puts WWE Contract Online, SD! News, & More

In what may be a first, there's a picture online of former TNA wrestler Apolo showing off his WWE contract. You can see the picture at www.iwapr.tv/noticias/471.php. Following a tryout last week in in Louisville, Kentucky at Ohio Valley Wrestling, Apolo signed a contract with WWE and will be starting in their developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling next month.

Here is how WWE's taping schedule for the rest of 2007 will go down. Of course, Monday will be the 'Tribute to the Troops' show that was taped in the Middle East a little over two weeks ago. Tuesday will be a "Best of ECW" show. Friday's SmackDown will be a "Best of 2007" show featuring a number of matches that aired on pay-per-view this year. WWE will be taping the New Year Eve's edition of RAW in Greensboro, N.C. this Saturday night. The 1/1 ECW & the 1/4 SmackDown will be taped next Sunday in Richmond, Va. The taping schedule will be back to normal on 1/7 when Raw hails from the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn.

You can see the 'Tribute to the Troops' ad that ran in the New York Times this past week at WWE.com.

As noted on SmackDown, the Major Brothers are no longer the Major Brothers. The wrestler formerly known as Brett Major is now going under the name Zack Ryder and the wrestler formerly known as Brian Major is now Curt Hawkins.
