News On Jeff Hardy, Layla's Training, Umaga, HBK, & More

Jeff Hardy is ranked number one on this week's edition of the POWER 25 on WWE.com. "With his victory over The Game at Armageddon, the Intercontinental Champion sweeps all 19 first-place votes and claims the No. 1 spot in the P25."

ECW Diva Layla is currently training at Jesse Hernandez's School of Hard Knocks. He's trained a number of wrestlers including Melina, Rico, Frankie Kazarian, Keiji Sakoda and Chris Jericho at one point to brush him up on the Lucha style before he went to Mexico. Here is what Hernandez wrote regarding Layla: "It is quite an honor to have former student and friend, WWE Referee Marty Elias, recommend WWE Diva, Layla, to my wrestling school, Jesse Hernandez's School of Hard Knocks, and allowing me to assist her in her wrestling training. I am so amazed at her quick learning ability. I truly feel that Layla will definitely make an impact in WWE as she certainly is willing to make sacrifices in her tight schedule to come out and learn to better herself and earn the respect of her peers as she prepares herself to master the squared circle. I, along with others, feel that she certainly has the fire in her eyes and the charisma that one needs to make it in our business. She certainly has earned my respect and the respect of our students that have been in the ring with her."

Umaga was voted 'Wrestler of the Year' on one of IGN.com's 'Best of 2007' lists. Coming in 2nd was Shawn Michaels, and TNA's Motor City Machine Guns came in 3rd.

If you look at the Royal Rumble section on WWE.com, it shows a graphic of Randy Orton holding a title belt that doesn't bare his name. If you look closely, the nameplate on the Cena Spinner belt he's holding reads 'Triple H'. Thanks to Jeremy Sippel for the tip.
