Santino Speaks On Being Slapped By Cornette, Austin, More

The Lilsboys out of the United Kingdom have a new interview online today with Santino Marella on The Sun web site. In it, Marella speaks out for the first time on being slapped by Jim Cornette when he was in OVW. Marella commented, "When he slapped me I just didn't know what to think. I'd heard he had a bad temper, but I didn't have enough experience to make a proper assessment of the situation. I just knew if I punched him in the face I'd get fired. I guess I made some history though ? I was pretty popular." Cornette's antics led to him getting fired and Paul Heyman being brought in to replace him at OVW.

The Miami Herald has a new article online today talking about Steve Austin's media conference call that he did late last week to promote next Monday's 15th RAW Anniversary special. In the article there are several quotes from Steve Austin commenting on other WWE talent. Austin puts over John Cena, Santino Marella, and Umaga but says that Ken Kennedy has regressed.
