Top Former WWE Star Undergoing Surgery, Molly Holly, Sandman, More

WWE Hall of Famer Bobby Heenan is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. The procedure will include doctors taking bone from both his shin and thigh and using it to reconstruct a new jaw, because his jawbone was destroyed by radiation therapy in treating his throat cancer. After the surgery, doctors will have to put the legendary manager in a coma for several days.

Former WWE Diva Nora "Molly Holly" Greenwald is confirmed to be competing for Northern Impact Wrestling on Saturday, February 2nd, 2008 in Cottage Grove MN. This will be her first official match since leaving the WWE a little over 2 years ago. Tickets for the event cost $10 and doors open at 6pm.

This Saturday, The Sandman and Too Cold Scorpio will be competing for Pro Wrestling Unplugged. The Sandman is scheduled to take part in an Over-The-Top Battle Royal, where the winner receives a PWU Championship match against Too Cold Scorpio later that night. The Blue Meanie and "The Pitbull" Gary Wolf are also confirmed to be taking part in the Over-The-Top Battle Royal. The event begins at 7:30pm in the New Alhambra Arena, formerly known as the ECW Arena, at 7 Ritner ST, Philadelphia PA.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that the Energy and Commerce's Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection will hold a hearing on 1/23 on steroid use in professional sports coming off today's Mitchell Report.
