What Steve Austin Is Doing These Days, More On Flair/WWE, More

Steve Austin was interviewed on Fox 2 in Detroit Friday morning, promoting his appearance at the Monster Truck Nationals. Austin said Detroit has always been a good town for him, dating back to his WCW days. He said Detroit has always been a rowdy wrestling crowd. Austin was asked about referring the McMahon-Trump match, and Stone Cold said he told Vince McMahon to grow his hair back after shaving his head. Austin said that Trump was a good guy. They showed clips from "The Condemned," which premiered at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. Austin said the movie is out on DVD, and in 2008 he plans to do a few movies and possibly film a pilot for a series, but is waiting on the writer's strike in Los Angeles. After the Monster Truck show, Austin said he would be apart of the 15th anniversary of Raw special and then return to South Texas to deer hunt. Austin said he once killed a deer in Grand Rapids (in Michigan), but prefers to hunt in Texas. In another segment, Austin talked about how he does the Stone Cold Stunner.

There has been a lot of controversy as to why Ric Flair did not appear on last week's RAW despite helping the previous week's show draw a very solid rating. Flair was originally planned for last week's SmackDown tapings on December 2nd in Florence, South Carolina and Monday's RAW in North Charleston. Without explanation Flair was scrapped from both shows. As noted earlier, Flair is booked for tonight's RAW, however, his appearance will likely focus around the reunion of Evolution.
