CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) – Professional wrestler and Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle has been ordered to stand trial on a drunken driving charge.

Moon Township police say they charged 39-year-old Angle on Sept. 28 after a motorist told them Angle cut her off while pulling out of a bar parking lot that afternoon.

A police officer testified Tuesday he went to Angle's Moon Township home, where the wrestler admitted to driving the vehicle and drinking a few beers at the bar that day. Police say Angle failed field sobriety tests and refused a blood test.

Angle's attorney says police couldn't place Angle in the vehicle at a specific time.

Angle won a gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics.
