ECW Rating, Why UFC Is Using Lesnar WWE Footage, Lesnar's Training Partner Speaks, More
Tuesday's ECW on Sci-Fi episode scored a 1.27 rating.
WWE has been allowing UFC to use their footage of Brock Lesnar. According to Bryan Alvarez, they did this because Vince McMahon sees UFC as a different audience. While a large part of it is, there still is enough of a cross over that watch both. I would assume that part of the deal is that UFC also doesn't make any disparaging remarks towards WWE or pro wrestling.
MMAFightLine.com has some very interesting comments from Brock Lesnar's training partner, Nick Thompson. He talks a lot about Lesnar's training and skills, and notes "I've never seen someone as athletic, a big man as athletic — frankly, anyone as athletic as Brock, much less a heavyweight.
And I think the thing that has really impressed me about Lesnar is normally when someone with his credentials comes into a gym, they usually want to do things their way and they don't really listen. He's been the complete opposite. He came in and said, 'I want to learn. I'm a blank slate, teach me.' And think if you combine his athleticism with his wrestling background and with that attitude and I really think he's going to go far in this sport. I think that begins on February 2."
