Tons Of TNA & ROH News: PPVs, TNA Talent Has Surgery, Red, More News

TNA's website has an article up noting that iMPACT! in the UK will be moving to the main Bravo channel.

Seamus Saunders sent this in: In regards to the report of the TNA show in Oshawa drawing in the range of 4,300 fans, there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY this is correct. Although the fans were loud and energetic and arena was barely at half capacity. I'd say 1,000 fans at the very most but more like in the 500-700 range.

TNA Talent Relations head Terry Taylor underwent double knee replacement surgery recently, so Pat Kenney (aka Simon Diamond) was sent to run the TNA events in Canada this week.

One source is claiming that TNA drew in the range of 4,300 fans at their event in Oshawa, Canada this week. While it remains to be seen if this was indeed a "company record", it may end up being so for a non-PPV event as Lockdown last year in St. Louis is believed to have drawn over 5,000 fans or so. The company could be interested in running a PPV possibly later this year after the strong turnout.

Speaking of PPV, there has been talks of holding an event in Texas this year. Other cities are also under consideration, but nothing has been confirmed by TNA yet. Chicago would have to be considered a top candidate after plans didn't work out last year.

Former TNA X Division Champion The Amazing Red is currently training for an in-ring comeback later this year. Red left the wrestling business and took on a full-time job to heal his knee after several surgeries. Red worked for TNA, Ring of Honor and All Japan Pro Wrestling in the past along with several Northeastern indy groups.

Pro Wrestling NOAH star KENTA is not scheduled to return to Ring of Honor in 2008 as his work visa to appear in the United States was not renewed. Despite the loss, former ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima and Naomichi Marufuji are both scheduled to appear for Ring of Honor this year.

Ring of Honor drew a sellout of 1,200 fans for Saturday's PPV taping and 1,000 fans the following night for the Final Battle 2007 event.

While the company is interested in returning to the West Coast in 2008, ROH has no concrete plans to do so at this time. The last tour in Las Vegas and California was described as a big money loser due to issues with the buildings they ran, especially the California event with the whole convention disaster.
