Backstage TNA News & Notes, Styles, Angle, Abyss, Loads More

Although nothing has been confirmed from TNA at this point, the plan is to run TV tapings for Spike TV in the days before WrestleMania 24 weekend in Orlando. Tapings on Thursday, March 27 (going live that night on Spike TV) and Friday, March 28 have been suggested at Universal Studios. It should be noted that due to WWE's partnership with NBC Universal, the company plans on bringing its WrestleMania Axxess tour to Universal property and you could see fans visiting that along with attending TNA TV tapings all in the same area.

AJ Styles is now back on the card for the scheduled April 19 1PW event in Great Britain. Styles was originally pulled from the show when TNA was looking at making changes to its taping schedule.

Mike Johnson reports that Abyss will be off of television for a few months to sell the storyline that the Abyss character is ending. He is scheduled to return in a few months unmasked and will most likely wrestle under his real name, Chris Parks.

Representatives from TNA, TNA World Champion Kurt Angle (who will compete against Shinsuke Nakamura to unify the IWGP Titles) and Jeremy Borash have all arrived in Japan for the New Japan event. Also on the card from TNA includes Tomko defending the IWGP Tag Team Titles with Giant Bernard against Togi Makabe & Toru Yano, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels.
