Hogan Rips Wrestling, Eugene Returns, OVW Charging, More
- Former WWE Superstar and OVW original Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore made his return at last night's OVW TV tapings defeating Andrew Vain. Also at the tapings, Jay Bradley defeated Matt Sydal to win the OVW Heavyweight Championship. It's believed Sydal is headed down to Florida Championship Wrestling since the WWE-OVW split.
Speaking of the split, OVW announced at the show last night that beginning next week, they will charge a $2 admission fee to everyone except OVW Fan Club members.
- Hulk Hogan was on ABC's The View yesterday promoting American Gladiators. Hogan also took some shots at the professional wrestling of today, saying how much it has changed since he broke into the business. Hogan said there is too much talking and not enough wrestling going on. View co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who is a childhood wrestling fan, agreed with Hogan. Hogan also talked about how easy it is for guys to get into the business these days and said back in his early days wrestling was very colorful and was treated like an art form but now nobody is a larger-than-life character that stands out from the pack like The Rock or Steve Austin.
