News & Notes On ROH & TNA House Shows Over The Weekend

  • Last night's TNA debut show in New York City at Webster Hall is being looked at as a huge success. The show drew over 800 fans in a sellout and was said to be a really good atmosphere for the company to begin marketing their product in the area. Dixie Carter was said to be very happy at the event as she was in attendance. TNA will run again tonight in Westbury, New York at the North Fork Theater. While the event was promoted as a sell-out on Impact, there are still a few tickets left on Ticketmaster.
  • Ring of Honor is also running in New York this weekend as they will be in Deer Park tonight with Roderick Strong & Davey Richards vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico, ROH Champion Nigel McGuinness vs. Brent Albright, and Bryan Danielson vs. Rocky Romero, Austin Aries vs. Joey Matthews, and Go Shiozaki vs. Eric Stevens. Shiozaki will be making his United States debut in the match.
  • Saturday night TNA and Ring of Honor will hold shows again in New York (within 300 miles apart) as TNA will be in Elmira at The First Arena and Ring of Honor will be running at the Manhattan Center. As always, if you attend any of the shows over the weekend please send us a report.
