WWE Making New Deals, Reason For Dropping PPV, More

- WWE dropped the New Year's Revolution pay-per-view from the January schedule so they could concentrate more on their other pay-per-view events.

- WWE has recently entered deals with big companies like Yahoo and Colgate to advertise on their website, which is bringing in more revenue. WWE is looking at more revenue in 2008 from such ventures as their continued international expansion and the move to HD. WWE is pleased with the success of the John Cena and Shawn Michaels DVD's as well as the sales overseas of action figures and t-shirts. WWE's Magazine also continues to be a big revenue earner as it is now producing 300,000 copies a year.

- Some have wondered that with SmackDown leaving the CW Network, would WWE be streaming SmackDown on WWE.com. Right now, WWE wants to find a new home for the show before anything, but it is possible in the future that WWE.com will have an exclusive SmackDown show but for the time being they want it to be a broadcast show only.
