Lita Responds To Incorrect Reports That She Was Hospitalized

Genius Products, best known as the distributor for products from Animal Planet, ESPN and the WWE, has entered the videogame-publishing and distribution business. The company's first game will be "Line Rider" for Wii, Nintendo DS and PC. Genius Products plans to offer a number of new titles in 2008 across a variety of genres and platforms. Line Rider, the first of these titles, is expected to hit stores this summer. However, while Line Rider will be the company's first game, Genius Products' move into game-publishing begs the question of what will happen to THQ's contract for its WWE game franchise, among others. With Genius Products the "normal" distributor for WWE and ESPN content, as mentioned above, will Genius Products eventually become the publisher and distributor for those related games as well?

Former WWE Women's champion Amy "Lita" Dumas issued the following statement regarding reports of her health issues being blown out of proportion: Whoa!, What a way to wake up! I got tons of calls and texts this morning hoping I got out of the hospital soon. What? I'm not in the hospital! I lost my voice. That's it. Our booking agent called the club to cancel the Imperial,PA show because I couldn't talk over a whisper, but that's it. No fever. No laryngitis. I don't know where anything else came from. We have a day off today so I am going to continue to rest up and get ready to rock out in West Virginia tomorrow. I am on everything holistic and over the counter you can think of, so I am hoping to be at least 80% by tomorrow. I appreciate everyone writing in to check up on me, and as far as all the phone calls- I will return those when I get my voice back. It's pretty annoying not being able to talk, by the way. I am going crazy!!! All that aside, we are all still having a great time on tour. We all had a blast with the guys from Ashers in New Hampshire and Mass, but I'm going to go ahead and say it was those b******s that got me sick!!! ha, ha- See you guys somewhere out on the road real soon!!

Note from Ryan Clark: According to the concert venue, The Luchagors' guitar player called them and said Dumas was being taken to the hospital. He said due to her condition, there was no way she could do the show. So he lied. They are hoping to reschedule a future date at the club.
