Loads Of News: Lockdown, Tonight's Event, Angle Not Ready For MMA, More

  • Tonight's TNA House Show in Pikeville, KY has one of the best ticket advances for a small market house show in the company's history. I'm told it's over 4,000 tickets sold.
  • Mark sent this in: TNA's all steel cage PPV: Lockdown taking place outside Boston at the 7,800 (although only 5,000 will be used for wrestling) seat Tsongas Arena is doing quite well for ticket sales, way a head of recent TNA PPV events. As of this time the complete floor seating is sold out and only the back corner lower bowl $35 seats remain.
  • MMAJunkie.com is featuring an interview recap with TNA World Champion Kurt Angle on TAGG Radio. During the interview, Angle again addressed the issue of getting into MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and why he isn't ready for it physically at this time. Angle added quote, "I've always wanted to do (MMA), from after the Olympics, and I just never got the shot. I've been keeping myself in really, really good shape, but not in the fighting shape you have to be in to go into MMA. I don't want (you) to misunderstand me. When I say I am in shape, I am in no shape at all right now to go into an octagon or on a platform and have a fight with Randy Couture or Chuck Liddell or 'Rampage' Jackson or Brock Lesnar or whoever it is. Right now I cannot."
  • Pat Synder sent this in: Smackdown on WDCW in Washington DC is being preempted for Virginia High School Basketball and Smackdown will air on Sunday March 16 at 10:00pm. Just thought I would pass it on.
  • Ross Lucas sent this in: Thought you'd be interested to know that whilst watching ECW here in the UK, Sky ran an advert promoting the WWE premiering in HD this coming Monday on Sky Sports HD. Wrestlemania had already been advertised as a HD pay per view, but no date had been given prior to this for the weekly shows airing in HD. Hope this clears that up.
