Steve Austin At 'Mania 24?, Khali, Kane, Henry, Noble, Lots More
WWE's creative team was told to come up with ideas to incorporate Stone Cold Steve Austin into WrestleMania XXIV. Two ideas that were discussed were a match with Hulk Hogan and Austin being the special guest referee for the Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather match. It is unknown whether either idea was actually pitched to Austin, but he wont be doing either. He is expected to attend the Hall of Fame Ceremony, so there is still a chance he could appear at WrestleMania.
Pittsburghlive.com has an article online today about a WWE tie-in possible with the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team. WWE has contacted rookie forward Tyler Kennedy about the possibly of him meeting Ken Kennedy. According to the article, there is a chance that they will film a segment of Ken Kennedy to be shown on the video board after Tyler Kennedy scores. Ken Kennedy's catchphrase was also blared through the Mellon Arena speakers after Tyler Kennedy scored Sunday against the Philadelphia Flyers. I'm sure they would also do a superstar-to-superstar WWE.com interviews as well.
WWE.com has posted details on this year's Bacon, Bagels, and Biceps Brunch occurring the morning of WrestleMania. The brunch will be presented by WWE and the David Maus Foundation and will include several WWE superstar appearances as well as an appearance by actress Raven-Symon?. The David Maus Foundation will make a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
At Wrestlemania, twenty four superstars will compete in a battle royal, with the winner receiving an ECW title shot. The names confirmed for the battle royal thus far are The Great Khali, Jamie Noble, Chuck Palumbo, Mark Henry, Big Daddy V, and Kane.
