Trish Stratus Returns To The Ring, Hogan/WWE '08 HOF, Couture Vs. Angle?, More

Hulk Hogan has told the Dayton Beach News Journal that he will be inducting legendary Florida promoter Eddie Graham into the WWE Hall of Fame. Hogan got into some hot water as he revealed last year's Hall of Fame Class through a phone call on Bubba the Love Sponge's radio show. In the interview he also said he will host the second season of American Gladiators, mentioned his new wrestling venture with Eric Bischoff, said that Hogan Knows Best will get a new name and focus entirely on Brooke next season, and more.

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, current UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture (who is also in a legal battle with the company as well) stated on the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show earlier today that he is trying to get a submission grappling match set up with TNA World Champion Kurt Angle. Angle has stated in previous interviews that he was hoping to set up a fight with Couture later this year, although he gave the impression it would be an MMA fight and not a "submission grappling rules" match.

With WWE no longer associated with Ohio Valley Wrestling, the top stars are now former WWE superstars Rob Conway, Nick Dinsmore (Eugene) and Joey Matthews (Mercury). Matthews and Dinsmore are also working as trainers.

Former WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus returned to the ring last night, but not for WWE. Trish worked a match in Iceland, defeating Icelandic Wrestling Association Women's champion Svana Hronn Johannsdottir in a best-of-3-falls match. Trish arrived in Iceland on Sunday and has been taking in all the regular tourist activities, including the Golden circle and the Blue Lagoon. Despite the fact that WWE is not on Icelandic television and pro wrestling isn't that popular in the country, Trish still received a lot of media attention and has been introduced as the best female pro wrestler in the United States.
