Smackdown Rating, The Wrestler Movie Inspired By Jake Roberts?

Judah Friedlander from NBC's show "30 Rock" appeared on "Elliot In The Morning" show on DC 101fm out of Washington, DC Thursday morning to plug a local comedy performance he was doing in the area. Over the course of the interview he also gave details of his upcoming movie, the Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream) directed "The Wrestler". Judah mentioned how he was always a huge fan old school wrestling and the original ECW. He talked about how "The Wrestler" was inspired by Jake "The Snake" Roberts appearance in "Beyond the Mat". He said in preparation for his role he consulted former ECW/WWE personality The Blue Meanie, Brian Heffron. He said even though the movie may initially be perceived as a comedy it is very dark and is shot in documentary form to give it a more real effect.

- According to fast national data, last night's Smackdown drew a 2.5 rating – as always the final number will be out next week.
