Early SD! Rating, Backstage Cade/Murdoch Split News, & More Inside
Smackdown did a 2.4 fast national rating on Friday night.
The CAC was informed today that Nellya Burres-Baughman, who wrestled as Judy Grable, died at approximately 2:40 this morning. Grable began her career in 1938 and was a top wrestler on the women's wrestling scene for many years. It was in a tournament in 1956 that, it is claimed, where Fabulous Moolah defeated Judy Grable to win the Women's Title that Moolah would go on to hold for many years. We have no more details at this time. The CAC sends our condolences to the family and friends of Judy Grable.
WWE is splitting Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch up so that Cade can be pushed as a singles wrestler. WWE feels that Cade is the more talented of the two and so he will be the one getting the push. WWE is hoping to move Cade up to upper mid-card level by having him feud with babyface wrestlers on the level of Chris Jericho & Jeff Hardy. With Cade's size and working ability, some feel that he's been underutilized. So where does this leave Trevor Murdoch? He will likely wind up with a lower-card babyface comedy role now that he has a singing gimmick.
