- The first King Of The Mountain Qualifying Matches were held on "iMPACT!", with Robert Roode advancing to the Slammiversary main event after he narrowly beat Matt Morgan.

- In the second KOTM qualfier, Booker T was able to beat AJ Styles after Tomko cost AJ the bout. The big news came after the match, as Tomko, Booker and Team 3D attempted to annihilate Styles. Karen Angle tried to help AJ, eventually bringing out her estranged husband Kurt Angle to chase off his attackers. However, after Kurt saw Karen holding AJ in her arms, the Olympic gold medalist instead joined in on the attack on The Phenomenal One to end the broadcast! Earlier in the night, Karen turned down Kurt's pleas to come home – and Kurt apparently snapped when he saw Karen with AJ and assumed they have been seeing each other.

- In addition, during an in-ring interview with TNA World Champion Samoa Joe, his mentor Kevin Nash became irate after Joe didn't select him to compete for a spot in the King Of The Mountain match. According to Nash, he wants a shot at the World Title – and his patience is wearing thin with Samoa Joe!

- Also on the broadcast, TNA World Tag Team Champion Homicide of the Latin American Xchange defeated Team 3D's Brother Ray by disqualification after Brother Devon interfered. Hernandez came out to even the odds, but Booker T join Team 3D in the beatdown on LAX.

- TNA Women's Champion Awesome Kong is apparently looking for new competition in TNA and has started to challenge anyone in the audience to battle her!

- Angelina Love defeated ODB with outside assistance from her Beautiful People partner Velvet Sky. Roxxi came out to get her revenge and attempted to cut Angelina's hair, but The Beautiful People escaped.

- Jay Lethal and SoCal Val announced that Ace Young from American Idol would be in attendance on Thursday's broadcast and he will sing during their marriage at the Slammiversary PPV!

- Also on the broadcast, more footage aired of Abyss as well as the exclusive sitdown interview with Sting.
