TV Executive Takes Big Shot At WWE, Mysterio/China Update, More

This week all of the big television networks have been holding press events to announce their fall lineups. Yesterday the CW Network presenting its new line-up, which focuses strictly on the female demographic. Their big for the fall is be a re-make of Beverly Hills 90210. An article on Forbes.com mentions that CW Network President Dawn Ostroff took a shot at Smackdown when explaining why they let go of their top-rated show. "It is not a program that is going to break out any more. It is a program that is on the demise. It's also a program that does not fit our brand."

Multichannel.com reports that TNT has overtaken the USA Network as the #1 rated cable network in primetime over the past 2 weeks. This has been thanks to the NBA playoffs. USA went 16 straight weeks as #1 to start the year.

WWE's website posted a story on Rey Mysterio helping relief efforts in China following the 7.9 level earthquake in the Sichuan province earlier this week. The former World Heavyweight champion was already in China doing promotional work for the compnay when the quake struck. He's now working with AmeriCares for relief effort.
