Backstage Dusty Rhodes Note, Big Show's Injury Bad?, Flair/WWE
As noted yesterday here on the site, Ric Flair is expected back on TV shortly to promote the new Ric Flair DVD. The DVD will include footage from 1972 of the Verne Gagne training camp. Also a camera crew followed Flair around for the last weekend of his career, which will be part of the DVD.
Dusty Rhodes is very high on current FCW champion Jake Hagar. Hagar is 6'6, very athletic and is a former Football and Wrestling standout for Oklahoma State.
NBC has made the call not to air the piece on one-year later piece on Chris Benoit. "Dateline" was to do the special, but it appears as if Nancy's friends want nothing to do with the media, and with the lack of people interested in commenting on camera, they felt the piece wasn't worth doing.
Friday night's edition of WWE Smackdown scored a 2.3 broadcast rating.
WWE.com is reporting that the Big Show is having an MRI done to fully evaluate the severity of his injury from One Night Stand. It was first thought of as just a bad gash, but he woke up with very bad swelling that forced his eye shut. There is fear that he may have suffered a broken bone.
