More Backstage RAW News: Another Draft?, J.R, Adamle, More
To be honest with you guys I'm not really sure about a supplemental draft. You'll likely hear about it when I do via WWE.com unless I hear otherwise. There is talk in some circles that it could happen while others say there has been no talk of doing one this year.
I really feel bad for Jim Ross as he is probably the greatest play-by-play announcer and just gets screwed time and time again. It seems he should have some sort of say in what he does due to his long tenure with the company. The poor guy was also always mocked when RAW was broadcast from his home state and he always took any angle they give him in stride. It just so happens that next weeks RAW is in Oklahoma and is even being advertised as "Presented to you by JR's Family BBQ". Unreal and really quite sad. I know I would have likely called it a career if I was put in that position.
Internally, there are number of people hoping that Triple H somehow doesn't get "traded back" to Raw. A lot of people believe that if he stays away from the brand, it will open up opportunities for other wrestler to break through on Raw. As long as he stays there, it pretty much goes without saying that he'll always be involved in the top storylines, thus blocking the younger wrestlers from breaking through considering that he is very over, not to mention the most powerful talent in the company.
According to a few people, the Mike Adamle announcing miscues aren't part of "his character" as he's pretty much messing up by accident. If that's true and he's not being fed dumb lines by Vince then I think we have a serious problem with this guy, don't you?
