More Original Draft Plans, Batista's RAW Move, HHH, More News
As of last Thursday, Batista's move to Raw was being heavily considered at creative meetings and Triple H was reportedly pushing for him to turn heel to build for a Cena vs. Batista main event at WrestleMania 25. That match had actually been considered for WrestleMania 24 and when it didn't happen it became a plan for next year. Kofi Kingston and Bam Neely were also discussed about being pushed to Raw and the company ended up putting Kingston on the brand through the supplemental draft on Wednesday.
In regards to the switching of the announcing teams, the idea of switching Mick Foley and Jerry Lawler instead of Michael Cole and Jim Ross did some up and Vince McMahon was said to be negative towards it. When Kevin Dunn brought up what Ross' reaction would be on the air to doing it the way they did on Monday, it reportedly amused McMahon and the decision was made to go through with it.
Brian Gewirtz reportedly threw out an idea to have Ted DiBiase Jr. buy a draft pick somehow, but the idea was later shot down.
