One Night Stand: Triple H Vs. Randy Orton
Last Man Standing Match For The WWE Championship
Triple H (c) vs. Randy Orton
Orton came to the ring first, looking the most ripped I've seen him in awhile, almost at pre-Wellness program levels. Triple H was out next to a decent reaction, but nothing overwhelming.
Triple H dominated early on, throwing Randy Orton into the ring steps outside the ring and then continuing to dominate back in the ring before Orton hit a picture perfect dropkick on The Game. Triple H quickly recovered and threw Orton back out of the ring and continued to work Orton over.
Orton was able to both Triple H's attempt a pedigree on the announce table and dropped Triple H with a DDT face first on the outside of the ring. Orton got back in the ring and the referee counted 9 before Triple H was able to get to his feet.
Orton then removed some padding from the ring floor, exposing the concrete. He then went for an RKO onto the concrete, but Triple H put on the brakes and shoved Orton into the ring post. They ended up back in the ring and Orton continued to work over HHH. Orton then got the ring steps in the ring and nailed HHH in the head with them, but HHH got up again at 9. Orton grabbed a cord from under the ring and started choking out HHH with it. He let go and then went for an RKO, but HHH shoved him outside of the ring while he was in the air.
Outside of the ring the referee counted 7 but HHH stood Orton up and went on the offensive. Orton looked legitimately hurt from the fall. HHH went under the ring and grabbed a sledgehammer and nailed Orton with it. The referee counted 10 and The Game wins it.
Winner: Triple H
