One Night Stand: Undertaker Vs. Edge
TLC match for World Heavyweight Championship
Edge vs. Undertaker
As Edge made his way to the ring, Michael Cole remarked that Edge has been in almost every TLC match in history. Undertaker made his way to the ring with his standard 'B' show entrance (no druids or special effects).
Undertaker gained control of the match early throwing Edge around the ring and even hitting old school. Taker went to the outside grabbing a chair, but Edge dropkicked the chair into Taker's midsection as Undertaker was getting back into the ring. Edge then went to the outside and stacked two tables on top of each other before being attacked by Taker again and thrown into the ring steps.
The two traded the advantage several times once back in the ring. They later ended up back out of the ring with Edge using the ladder to his advantage. Edge then grabbed a chair and nailed Taker with a big unprotected chairshot to the head. He then started setting up a table and nailed Taker with another huge unprotected chairshot to the head. I can't believe how often those are still used. He then set Taker up on a table outside and hit a splash on Taker through the table.
Edge got back in the ring and started to climb the ladder, but Taker brought him down and Edge hit him with a spear out of nowhere. Edge then hit Undertaker with two more unprotected chair shots to the head. Ugh. Edge put Taker's head on a chair and grabbed another chair, but Taker nailed Edge with a lowblow as Edge was about to hit him.
Undertaker chokeslammed Edge off the ring apron onto a ladder setup outside the ring from the ring apron to the barrier. As Taker started climbing the ladder to win the match, Edge's jobber friends Ryder and Hawkins hit the ring and started attacking the Undertaker. They set the Undertaker on a table, then put another table on top of him. Hawkins went to the top, but Undertaker got up and chokeslammed Hawkins from the top rope to a table setup outside the ring. The then chokeslammed Ryder through another table outside of the ring. While this was happening, Edge made his way back up into the ring and hit a spear on the Undertaker, knocking him out of the ring.
Edge setup two more tables on top of each other and then started climbing the ladder and Taker got back in the ring. He then caught Edge on top of the ladder and gave him a last ride through the two tables that Edge had just placed on top of each other. Undertaker then started climbing the ladder but La Familia hit the ring and started attacking the Undertaker. They went to hit a conchairto but missed, and Taker took them both out with chair shots.
Taker then started to climb the ladder again and got near the top when Edge got up and pushed the ladder, and the Undertaker flew over the top outside of the ring onto the tables that were setup earlier. Edge then climbed the ladder and got the belt, winning the World Heavyweight Championship again.
