Several Top Names Miss RAW, Backstage Creative News
A number of writers and road agents/producers missed this past Monday's Raw, reports prowrestling.NET. WWE originally had plans to tape the show over the weekend, but switched it due to fan complaints. However, a number of the writers and road agents/producers had already planned vacations for the week off. Head Raw writer Brian Gewirtz and Gerald Brisco were among those not backstage at Raw. Brisco runs "the Gorilla Position" backstage and Bruce Prichard filled in for him.
As noted earlier, there was a closed-door meeting before Raw a few weeks ago involving officials and the road agents. The meeting had to do with the declining ratings for Raw. As you would expect, the older wrestlers-turned-agents believed that the low ratings could be attributed to too many pre-taped scripted promos and less in-ring action on Raw. The producers were said to be down coming out of the meeting.
