WWE will be holding a special event on August 9 in Venice Beach, California from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. featuring Mr. Kennedy, Carlito, John Morrison, The Miz, Funaki, Shannon Moore, Tommy Dreamer, Mike Knox, Layla and Candice Michelle. The company is also holding house show events that day as well with Raw in Newark, Delaware and Smackdown/ECW in Syracuse, New York.
Ratings for this past Friday's July 4th-edition of WWE Smackdown are not in yet. However, based on the fast nationals the numbers were only said to be down around 20% from usual which is a good showing for the company on a holiday. We should have the final ratings in the coming days.
