WWE Tag Team Championship Fatal Four Way
The four teams worked an average match. At one point, Hornswoggle did a dive to the outside of the ring onto Miz and Morrison. Jim Ross and Mick Foley pointed out that Miz and Morrison don't have to lose the fall to lose the championship about forty times. Hawkins or Ryder (I still have a hard time telling them apart) pinned Jesse to win the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Winners and New WWE Tag Team Champions: Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder

WWE United States Championship Match
Matt Hardy (c) vs. Shelton Benjamin
The crowd was alive during this match. There was a pretty long dueling "Let's Go Shelton"/"Let's Go Hardy" chant which surprised me. Mick Foley noted that his son Dewey's favorite wrestler is Shelton Benjamin because he can do things that no other WWE wrestler can do. These two worked a really good match and have good chemistry together. Shelton looked really good, better than I've seen him for awhile.

At one point Hardy was jumping onto Benjamin from the top srope, but Shelton caught him in mid air and threw him power bomb style into the corner turnbuckles. The finish saw Matt Hardy go for the moonsault but land faced first on Benjamin's knee and Benjamin hit pay dirt to get the win.

Winner & New WWE United States Champion: Shelton Benjamin

Jim Ross and Michael Cole previewed CM Punk vs. Batista. They showed an interview with CM Punk from this past Monday from WWE.com. Solid promo.

They went to Jim Ross and Mick Foley, and they aired the closing angle from Smackdown! this past Friday night. The WWE Mobile Poll is "Who Do you sympathize with more: Edge or Vickie Guererro?"

The bathroom break . . . er, ECW Championship match is up next.

ECW Championship Match
Mark Henry (c) vs. Tommy Dreamer
Tazz noted that there have been 2 title changes tonight and if there will be a third to which Mike Adamle replied "I hope not". Weird. I really hope this match is short. Tony Atlas does add something by pairing with Henry, Henry looks more like a major player.

Mark Henry started the match showing his power and throwing Dreamer around the ring. Henry spent the next several minutes dominating Dreamer. The crowd is completely dead. Some "Boring chants" while Henry had Dreamer in a wristlock. Henry has continued to dominate Dreamer except for minor short flurries of offense from Dreamer. The finish saw Tommy Dreamer climb to the top rope and Colin Delaney turned on him by snapping Dreamer's left arm on the top rope, causing Dreamer to land in the ropes and Henry finished Dreamer off with the World's Strongest Slam to retain the title. Pretty weak heel turn by Delaney with no heat.

Winner & Still ECW Champion: Mark Henry

They aired a video previewing Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels.

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
The two started off with a staredown. Michaels was selling his ribs early on.

At one point Michaels was standing on the ring apron and Jericho jumped to the top rope and hit a dropkick on Michaels, knocking him out of the ring. Once back in the ring, Jericho started working on Michaels' ribs. Match surprisingly doesn't have a lot of heat early on, seems like the ECW match sucked the life out of the crowd.

At another point, HBK was going for sweet chin music but Lance Cade ran down to ringside, but HBK immediately knocked him down. Later he threw Jericho out of the ring on top of Cade, and then followed it up with a moonsault from the top rope onto Jericho and Cade outside the ring. The heat is still pretty weak in this match.

When getting back in the ring, you saw that Michaels eye was busted open (presumably from an elbow from Jericho outside the ring) and Jericho started working it with punches.

The referee asked if Michaels was OK, HBK said yes and Jericho then continued to work over Michaels eye with punches. Jericho was head butting his eye as Michaels pleaded with the referee to not stop it. Michaels was able to pull out a crossface out of nowhere, but Jericho was able to get out and kept going for Michaels eye while Michaels pleaded with the ref to not stop the match. Michaels's whole face was bloody at this point.

Jericho kept kicking and punching Michaels in the face. HB's face was a crimson match at this point. Jericho wrapped Michaels's arms and just continued to punch away at Michaels's eye and the referee stopped the match.

The match itself wasn't great, but it told a great story. HBK jobbed at two PPV's in a row, I can't remember the last time that happened.

Winner via ref stoppage: Chris Jericho

Inside the ring, referee's attended to Michaels while Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole were talking in their serious quiet voice.

A Summerslam promo aired.

Edge did a promo, saying that Triple H ruined his life and now he's going to ruin HHH's, by taking the WWE title.

WWE Divas Championship Match
Michelle McCool vs. Natalya
Crowd was dead from the Michaels – Jericho match. There were some blown spots early on. The finish saw McCool get a heel hook on Natalya, who fought it for awhile, but eventually lost.

Winner and New WWE Divas Champion: Michelle McCool

After the match, the divas came to the ring and congratulated McCool. As this was going on, Chris Jericho came out and told the crowd to save their ticket stubs, because it's from the night that Shawn Michaels had his last match. He said the trainers said that Michaels had a detached retina, spelling the end of Michaels's career. He ended by saying that Michaels can get solace from knowing that finally the worst had come.

A promo for the Ric Flair DVD aired.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
CM Punk (c) vs. Batista
Punk came to the ring first and Cole and Lawler noted that everyone considers him the underdog. Batista came out to a mixed reaction, more booes. Batista looked huge. During the ring introductions, Punk and Batista both were booed.

Batista overpowered Punk early and laughed at him. Punk then started working Batista over with leg kicks but Batista regained the advantage.

As the match went on, it went back and forth, but Batista was mostly in charge. Crowd was quiet for this match too, not really behind either guy. Punk rocked Batista throughout the match with kicks and knees to the head.

The finish saw Batista hit Punk with a Batista bomb outside the ring. He threw Punk in the ring, but before he could get in, Kane ran out and attacked him to end the match. Kane then went in the ring and attacked CM Punk. When he was leaving, he asked "Is He Dead" and then kicked the daylights out of a cameraman. The match was ruled a double disqualification.

After the match, Batista laid Punk out with the Batista Bomb. WWE did a great job in making their champion look weak. If one thing if Punk was playing a Honky Tonk Man type heel, but they're not. And you know when Punk doesn't get over as champ, that Punk will get the blame. Looks like a three way with Punk, Kane and Batista at SummerSlam.

Winner: None, Double Disqualification

"New York City Parking Lot Brawl"
John Cena vs. JBL
JBL came out of his limo with a crowbar. He walked around looking for Cena surrounded by a circle of cars. While JBL was on the hood of one of the cars, Cena was in a car across from it and started the car and nailed the car JBL was on. He then choked JBL with jumper cables, opened the hood of a car and slammed the lid on JBL.

Cena then attached the jumper cables to JBL's boys and to the car battery and shocked him. He then picked up a keg (I could've used Cena in college) and threw it at JBL, who had presumably moved. It's pretty obvious this was filmed earlier and they've spliced parts of the match.

They had a wild brawl, destroying several cars in the process. JBL threw Cena through a windshield, car door and ddt'd him on a car at one point. At another point JBL threw Cena in the backseat of a car and then went to his limo and grabbed a can of gas. He covered the car with Cena in gas, pulled out a lighter and lit it and threw it at the car, setting it on fire. Officials came out to put out the first and JBL got on a forklift as Cena got out of the car after the fire was put out (another slice done there).

Cena then worked JBL over, put JBL in a car, got in a forklift and rammed it into the car with JBL in it. He picked up te car with the forklift and they cut away for a sec (which is when they probably sliced it to the live feed) and Cena came to ringside with the car driving the forklift. JBL got out of te car and they continued the match. Cena continued to work over JBL and even dropped the five knuckle shuffle at the ring entrance. Cena then got JBL in the FU, and was going to deliver the FU on JBL on the car at ringside, but JBL reversed it and threw Cena into the windshield of the car and covered him for the pin. Good match, probably the best these two have had in years, if not ever. It was reminiscent of the Goldust – Roddy Piper Hoollywood Backstreet Brawl at WrestleMania 12.

Winner via pinfall: JBL

Cena sure has been jobbing a lot lately. Cena's arm was cut and officials helped JBL to his feet after the match. I'm guessing the windshield was gimmicked, because it seems like a stupid risk to take with your top star. Cena got up and walked to the back, looking concerned with the cut on his arm.

The AT&T Mobile vote had 55% of the audience sympathizing with Edge more than Vickie, closer than I would have expected.

WWE Championship Match
Triple H (c) vs. Edge
Mick Foley noted that this is the first time that HHH and Edge have faced each other with a world title at stake.

The two worked a good match, but the crowd didn't get into it. At one point Edge hit the impaler on Triple H outside the ring and threw him into the ring, but was only able to get a two count. I'm surprised at the lack of heat in this match, but surprisingly the match with the most heat all night was Benjamin vs. Hardy.

At another point Edge went for a spear but Triple H was able to turn it into a spinebuster. He went for a pedigree, but Edge pushed Triple H into the corner to escape it, put Triple H on the top rope and hit a superplex. Alicia Fox came to the ring, grabbed the WWE Championship belt and handed it to Edge. Vickie Guerrero knocked Fox down and took the belt. She got in the ring and her and Fox got into a catfight. Edge then went to spear the referee, but the ref and Fox moved out of the way and Edge accidentally speared Guerrero. Triple H got up and hit a pedigree on Edge to win the match.

Winner and still WWE Champion: Triple H
