Y2J's Second Book?, WWE.com Traffic Status, SD! Vs. RAW, More

Chris Jericho recently commented on his second book and stated he was working with the same collaborator he did with his first book. The second book will focus on his debut with WWE, leaving the company and then his decision to return. Jericho added, "I know how to write a book now, and to not concentrate on negative things. I'm not going to talk crap. I'm not bitter about anything. You're not gonna like everyone that you meet. If I win at the end of the story, what's the point?"

For May, WWE's web site had 14.2 million unique viewers. While to some that is a huge number, for WWE it was a very low total. This showed that the "industry news" section of the website meant nothing in turning things around in regards to traffic or the line of "pushing viewers to us that were stolen from us from other websites" line. June is expected to increase to 17 million due to all the sign-ups with the Million Dollar Mania contest. July will be the big indicator of how many people stuck around. It should also be noted that WWE Shop orders were averaging 645 per day, down from 900 in April.

Sales for the "Smackdown vs. Raw" video games in 2007 were $232 million, which was up from $166 million in 2006 and $135 million in 2005. The overall increase in revenue was because the game debuted on the PS3, Wii and DS last year. This was almost one-quarter of THQ's revenue for the year and shows how devastating losing the franchise will be for the company. WWE is moving away from THQ at the end of its contract in 2010, which led to THQ acquiring rights to UFC. While the new UFC game is expected to do very well, many don't feel it will bring in the kind of revenue that WWE has brought in over the years due to its easier understanding curve, more television exposure and greater popularity among children.

Devin Cutting sent this in: WWE returns to the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday, December 26th, 2008 at 7:30 PM. Tickets go on sale Saturday, November 8th, 2008 at 10 AM. The WWE website has it listed as a Smackdown/ECW house show, so it appears that WWE's plan to run Raw/ECW events has been pushed back again until 2009.
