Bret Hart In Negotiations, Flair/Hogan Appearing Together?, RVD Update
? The Tap Out clothing company is in negotiations with WWE Hall of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart as they want to do some kind of "Hitman" promotion and Hart owns the trademarks to that nickname. The deal probably will see Bret leasing out usage of the trademarked name and not actually endorsing whatever it is.
? To update you on the Rob Van Dam situation, the former WWE Champion told Brian Fritz of Between The Ropes last week that he was not interested in going back to either TNA or WWE to wrestle right now. As I noted earlier in my report, Rob won't be returning until his wife beats cancer. He'll work several dates for NWE but that's it for now.
? Former WCW and WWE Superstar Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, 48, was just released from the hospital after surgery for a hernia. Williams came out of surgery and was saying he thinks it is time to retire as an active wrestler. WWE stopped using Williams as a developmental trainer a little over a year ago and he has been working a few independent dates ever since.
? Here's an interesting one. Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan will be together at an autograph signing on 12/13 in Secaucus, New Jersey. Hogan has reportedly lowered his asking price for the signing from $75,000 to $50,000.
