WWE Stealing ROH Gimmick Matches, After RAW Notes, Lots More

CM Punk d. JBL after RAW went off the air. After the match, CM Punk spoke to the crowd, mentioning that he made his Chicago WWE debut as a "gangster" for John Cena's WrestleMania 22 entrance and two years later, he is World Champion.

A "Championship Scramble Match" has been announced for the WWE Unforgiven PPV on Sunday, September 7 in Cleveland, OH featuring CM Punk defending the World Heavyweight Title against John Cena, Batista, Kane and JBL. The stipulation of the match is as follows according to WWE.com: "Once the clock starts, it's every man for himself. If any of the Superstars scores a pinfall or submission on any of their competitors, they become the current champion. But that's not nearly the end of it. The championship can change hands several times throughout the 20 minute time frame. Whoever the champion is when the clock stops will officially be recognized as the World Heavyweight Champion." Boy, with a 'SCRAMBLE' Match at Unforgiven as well as Takeshi Morishima working a dark match, does anyone think WWE is watching or taking ideas from ROH these days? I'd be willing to bet on it.

At last week's Raw in Richmond, the talk among the wrestlers was that another half-dozen names were going to be let go. The talk turned out to be true as six performers on the main roster were let go the following Friday including Cherry, Stevie Richards, Rory McAllister, Robbie McAllister, Colin Delaney, and ECW referee Wes Adams. I've even heard more could be coming.
