Yet Another RAW Return **SPOILER**, WWE/MSG Gate, 'Taker Injured
? WWE's recent RAW show at Madison Square Garden drew a sell out of 19,068 fans for $700,000. The 8/22 RAW in Bridgeport, CT drew 6,500 fans for $225,000 and the SmackDown/ECW show in Erie, PA drew 3,000 fans for $93,000.
? WWE issued a statement on Friday saying they are appealing the Connecticut State Court's decision to dismiss their claim of bribery and anti-trust against Jakks Pacific. WWE said on their website, "The decision today from Connecticut State Court says that the prior federal court decision in this matter precludes the Connecticut court from allowing WWE to present our case on the merits. We believe the federal court decision was wrong, and we are taking steps to have it corrected on appeal." A Connecticut state court dismissed WWE's claims on Friday that the company filed in 2004, accusing Jakks of bribery to win the licensing agreement for WWE's toys, figures and games.
? David sent the following: I attended Saturday night's WWE show in Jonesboro, Arkansas and am pretty sure that The Undertaker is hurt. We noticed him walking stiff and not looking right when he first made his entrance. He spent a lot of the match on the ground and when he finally tagged Triple H in, he was standing on the apron looking to be in pain and was noticeably limping outside the ring. Taker came in to finish the match with Triple H and in his post-match rituals, looking to be in pain when getting down on one knee and doing his usual pose. Me and my family also noticed that he left the ring limping on his way to the back. Just thought I'd pass this on.
? FCW's Jake Hager worked the RAW show Saturday night as well, losing to Jamie Noble. Other matches on the card saw Snitsky defeat Primo Colon, Batista defeat William Regal, Rhodes and DiBiase defeat Cryme Tyme, D-Lo Brown defeat Lance Cade, Mark Henry defeat Matt Hardy in a Special Attraction match and CM Punk defeat Kane in the main event.
? Once again, I want to send all of you who are down south or in the New Orleans area my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully Hurricane Gustav isn't as bad as predicated although I feel there is no other way to put it – this thing is comin' and it's packin' a helluva punch. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time and I hope you all come out of the storm safely.
? SPOILER ALERT: In addition to Layla, Randy Orton, and Candice Michelle all making returns to RAW, Rey Mysterio also returned and took part during the end of the main event match. Randy Orton did commentary during the main event as well. A huge night of returns which will air this Monday night!
