Brock Lesnar Flips Out In Conference Call Today, & More
MMAScoops.com
is reporting that Brock Lesnar is sick and tired of hearing about Fedor Emelianenko and he gave reporters an earful during a brief tirade following a barage of questions about a possible Couture/Emelianenko match up.
"I'm hearing all this talk about Fedor Emelianenko, but who gives a (expletive) about Fedor? I don't care. I'm fighting Randy Couture and that's what this press conference is about. I don't give a damn about Fedor. I'm tired of hearing about (expletive) Fedor. All right? Randy Couture is fighting Brock Lesnar Nov. 15. His No. 1 concern should be Brock Lesnar. And Dana White could care less about Fedor."
White for his part, stressed that he would attempt to make a fight between Couture and Emelianenko and hinted that it could happen either through cross promotion or with in the UFC octagon. The fight however, likely won't happen until sometime next summer at the earliest.
Lesnar is right about one thing – Couture should be focused on him because it's clear that that is where Lesnar's focus lies.
"It's an honor to fight Randy Couture, he's a legend in this sport, and to get the chance to test myself against him is a gift. A lot guys would love to have this opportunity, Randy is the UFC heavyweight champion. There is one goal that I've had since I started training in MMA and that is to capture the title. Now that I'm getting the chance, nothing is going to stop me. I'm walking out of the Octagon with the belt around my waist."
