Dolph Ziggler/WWE Update, More On Jake Roberts Incident, More
On Raw last night, a wrestler by the name of Dolph Ziggler made his debut by introducing himself backstage to Mike Adamle & Kelly Kelly and later in the night, Lance Cade & Chris Jericho. Dolph is WWE developmental wrestler and former WWE World Tag Team champion (when he was a part of the Spirit Squad) Nic "Nicky" Nemeth. His ring name may be based on a character from the 1997 film Boogie Nights as there is a character by the name of Dirk Diggler, who happens to be an adult star. Nemeth's call-up to the main roster ends his nearly two-year long stay in developmental after being shipped away when the Spirit Squad disbanded in November 2006. Nemeth has wrestled in a countless number of dark & house matches over the past year, but was unable to break through until tonight.
Jake Roberts talked with Chris Yandek of CYInterview.com about what happened at the wrestling show in Ohio this past weekend. Jake claims he was drugged and admits it was one of the most scariest moments of his life, "I never have felt like that. I don't know why this has happened. I pray that it never happens to anybody. I am sorry. I can't even talk. I can't tell you how scary it is because right now I am shaking just thinking about it. I just don't want it to happen to anybody. Whoever did it, I hope to hell what goes around comes around and let God sort it out because I am not going on a man hunt because I am scared to even open the door much less anything else." After the drugging, Jake's next memory is the next morning, "I don't remember the show starting. I woke up with my wrestling clothes on. Shannon [Jake's assitant] told me I had wrestled. I was like you're kidding? I don't remember anything. Even when I drank in the past I didn't behave the way they said I behaved. I don't even know all the particulars yet. I may never want to know them all because I am so sick of it." New details have also come out on the drugging from Jake Robert's assistant.
