McCool Note, Rey Mysterio/SD! Backstage Note, Hardy/Punk, & More

Ever since Rey Mysterio left the SmackDown brand for RAW, the Hispanic rating for WWE on Friday night's has gone way down. While we don't have any data on RAW's ratings in that demographic, we do know it has been a slow drop for SmackDown and now the show only does slightly above its national average among Hispanics. This explains why Primo and Carlito were put on the show and pushed with the Tag Team belts.

The latest WWE Shopzone releases include CM Punk and Jeff Hardy hooded sweatshirts and the Unforgiven 2008 DVD and DVD/t-shirt packages.

WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool was a special guest of U.S. Olympic Volleyball Gold Medalists Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh at the AVP Crocs Cup Shootout presented by the Bud Light Manhattan Beach Open last weekend in California. McCool made the first ceremonial serve before the tournament began.

WWE has noted that the two official new theme songs for SmackDown on MyNetworkTV will be Shinedown's "I Dare You" and Rise Against's "Re-Education Through Labor.

Devin of ProWrestlingEvents.tk sent the following: The Score in Canada announced that they will continue to air WWE Smackdown on Friday nights. There had been some confusion over the show's move to MyNetwork, and a number of Canadian fans contacted The Score with questions about the switch.
