More iMPACT! Video Game Feedback, Flair/WWE Problems, More News

? Windham Rotunda (Mike Rotunda's son) has no wrestling experience, but will start training soon. Windham plans on starting professional wrestling after college. He is currently a football center at Troy University. Taylor Rotuna (Mike's other son) just recently signed a developmental contract with WWE as I noted earlier this morning here on the website. Mike Rotunda is married to the daughter of Blackjack Mulligan, so his sons would be third-generation wrestlers.

? No word officially on why WWE pulled the release of the Starrcade DVD, although the feeling is that Ric Flair's departure from the company played a role.

? Here are some more reader notes regarding the new TNA iMPACT! video game:

Ego sent this in: Just wanted to pass along a quick note on TNA Impact!, as another GameStop employee who is a wrestling fan, TNA Impact on the XB360 has a small game glitch that is causing some loading issues mostly with XB360 systems that do not have a hard drive. Most retailers have been notified of this issue and Midway the game's publisher has already taken the steps necessary to secure a patch for the glitch. This error is only present on the XB360 copy of the game. From personal experience most people pre-ordered TNA Impact! because they received a free 90min TNA DVD. TNA Impact! had been a focus title with GameStop for months, Samoa Joe even made an appearance at the GameStop Manager's Conference in Las Vegas this last week.

Jon Hall sent this in: I live in England and bought the TNA Impact video game with no trouble at all. It was even being advertised on a few telephone boxes around the town I bought it in. You probably know this already but Kurt Angle, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe are on the front cover and Christian Cage and Booker T are on the disc itself. I haven't had a huge amount of time to play on it yet but have played a few of the match types including Ultimate X, and started story mode. Generally I think this game is amazing and will definitely be playing on it a lot more in the future and will probably give you another report fairly soon.

Marcus Cygy sent this in: I went to my local Best Buy here in Coquitlam, BC, Canada to pickup the TNA iMPACT! Video Game and there was no site of the game there, so without even questioning them I went across the street. I went inside Future Shop at our Coquitlam Centre Mall and again no TNA Game, so I asked the employee in the video games section if they carried TNA iMPACT! on Xbox 360 and the guy didn't even know what I was talking about. So I clarified that it was TNA "WRESTLING" and again, he had no clue what TNA was, or the game. So my last option was EB Games inside the mall and AGAIN, NO TNA GAME... at least on the shelves. I had to ask the lady at the front counter if they had the TNA Game and she replied by saying, "Yes, we do." Then I'm thinking, oh really, where? So she turns around and bends down to pick up the game that was stacked amongst other games. I leaned over after to see how many games there were, and there were only four TNA Games! Are you kidding me?! I thought this was going to be a much bigger launch than this, but I guess I was wrong. As for the game itself, I love it. I know there's some mixed reviews out there, but I absolutely love it. Yes the Story Mode can be a little cheesy at times, but it works for me. The controls are perfect, it feels really good just landing a punch, doing a grabble, or doing a special attack. Also, the Xbox Live online feature is really fun. There are leadership boards as well that tell you your win/loss records, so that's neat as well. If I'm not mistaken, there will also be downloadable wrestlers down the line, as they have listed there will be downloadable content.

Adam sent this in: I work at a Blockbuster at a very small town in Northern California and we got exactly 1 copy of TNA Impact each for PS3 and 360 for rent, and only 1 copy to buy for the 360. So even Blockbuster, a major rental chain is getting the shaft from whatever distribution practices TNA or Midway might be using.

Adrian sent this in: Hey I work at big popular franchise in Australia which is essentially you Walmart and we received the TNA Impact video game on every platform available on time and 2 free DVDs and sold a lot of 360 and PS2 copies of your choice. Also want to give a heads up that TNA DVDs are coming in local retailers in Australia and the PS2 version of the game is 50 as to where others platforms are around 70-80.
