More TNA Releases?, New WWE Talent?, RAW, New Star?

As noted yesterday here on the site, in addition to Salinas' profile being removed from the TNA website due to her departure from the organization, they have also removed the profile of the injured Mickie "Moose" Knuckles. Knuckles was never actually signed to a TNA contract, although she was about to sign one before her untimely injury. It's been indicated that TNA will bring her back once she's healed. On July 6, Knuckles broke her femur in her right leg after a botched attempt to dive off a platform onto Sara Del Rey during the main event at the IWA Mid-South Summertime Black & Blues indy show in Joliet, Illinois. The rest of the match was canceled following the injury. Mickie underwent surgery the next day and is expected to miss six months of in-ring action.

The Bound for Glory commercials currently running on iMPACT! were actually filmed in the backlot of Universal Studios Orlando, not Chicago.

The previously planed "Best of WCW Starrcade" DVD set from WWE has officially been canceled. However, next month will apparently be Starrcade month on WWE 24/7, unless those plans have been canceled too. Back in the summer, WWE.com ran a poll asking fans to choose their favorite matches at Starrcade. They said the matches picked the most will air on WWE 24/7 during the month of November.

On A.M. Raw over the weekend, they mistakenly listed Mark Henry as the winner of the ECW Championship Scramble match at Unforgiven on the ticker at the bottom of the screen.

A wrestler by the name of Eric Escobar wrestled Snitsky in a dark match prior to Raw last night. The wrestler in question is WWE developmental wrestler Eric Perez. He has been in developmental longer than anyone left – since September 2005 when Deep South Wrestling first opened up. Perez worked a few dark & house show matches in 2006/2007, but was unable to break through to the main roster.
