News & Notes For TNA Bound For Glory
? TNA is doing a ton of local advertising in Chicago to promote next month's Bound For Glory pay-per-view in hopes of boosting ticket sales for the show. TNA bought ads on billboards, taxi cabs, and trains throughout the Chicago area.
? Advertisements for Dish Network are listing a price increase from $29.95 to $34.95 for TNA's Bound For Glory PPV this year on October 12. It remains to be seen if this will be a one-time thing by TNA as this is traditionally the company's biggest PPV event of the year or if this will become the new price for PPV's this point forward. The general feeling is that it won't hurt TNA if they do end up increasing the tag price of PPV's to $34.95 as the main competition is UFC at $44.95 and WWE at $39.95 and those who were already paying $29.95 will pay the extra $5 to see the show. UFC's price increase this year has not hurt the company yet, although the audience level between UFC and TNA is quite different as you can imagine.
